    That assumes Twitter, by the time it decides to act, will look anything at all like App.net. And I’m not saying App.net will change its look or features in any way at all. The bet that App.net is making hinges on the concept that tomorrow’s Twitter will be nothing like the Twitter we know and use today.

    Also, is there historical precedent for customers choosing to pay more for a ripoff than they would the original?
