I intended to write about my recent experience with the iOS 6 Maps app. I intended to say how it worked exactly as advertised, in a much smaller place than SF or NY. Instead, Ben Brooks beat me to it. He was in a larger area, but his results mirror mine (though I didn’t know about accident detail).
From the end of the article:
Yes I know Maps isn’t that great in your country.
I don’t use public transit.
I know you rely on street view, I don’t, nor do most other people.
Until Maps loses me somewhere, I’m going to go on loving the turn-by-turn directions and crazy-fast vector tiles. At this point, if you hate it, there’s nothing I can say to change your mind.
